Charter Organization Representative*:
Direct contact between unit and Chartered Org.

  • Voting member of the council
  • Appoints Committee Chairman
  • Helps select right leaders for Troop
  • Encourages leaders to be trained

Scoutmaster (SM)*:
Adult responsible for working directly with Scouts providing guidance, coaching, and support.

  • Providing junior leaders with the tools & skills to run the troop
  • Ensure rules of the BSA and chartered partner are followed
  • Be a good mentor and positive role model

Committee Chair*: Open

Committee Chair* / Deputy Chair:

  • Appoints and supervises the Troop Committee and Scoutmaster
  • Organizes committee to see that all responsibilities are delegated, coordinated and completed.
  • Conducts Troop Committee meetings
  • Promotes attainment of Journey to Excellence

Assistant Scoutmaster

Assistant Scoutmaster (ASM):
Adult leader (over 18) who helps the Scoutmaster deliver the promise of Scouting.

Senior ASM:

  • Acts as Scoutmaster when Scoutmaster is unavailable

Program ASMs:

Program ASM:
