WHAT IS NYLT?
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed leadership course designed to equip Scouts with the skills they need to lead effectively. NYLT is based on the best practices of team development and servant leadership, empowering participants to bring back valuable lessons to their home troop.
Through hands-on activities, team challenges, and engaging presentations, Scouts learn and practice essential leadership skills such as:
✔️ Effective communication
✔️ Goal setting and planning
✔️ Teamwork and problem-solving
✔️ Ethical decision-making
NYLT is led by experienced youth staff who model the leadership principles being taught, making the program both fun and inspiring. Several instructors are Troop 19 Scouts!
WHY ATTEND NYLT?
NYLT is a game-changer for Scouts looking to grow as leaders. Parents consistently comment on the significant changes they see in the child after attending NYLT. Participants leave with:
✅ Stronger leadership skills – Apply what you learn to your troop, school, and beyond.
✅ Confidence in leading others – Learn how to motivate and inspire your patrol and troop.
✅ Lifelong friendships – Connect with Scouts from other troops and share unforgettable experiences.
✅ Preparation for higher leadership – NYLT is a stepping stone to advanced leadership roles, including SPL, OA leadership, and even staff positions at NYLT itself.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
