Thank you for your interest in Troop 19!

To get your child started as soon as possible, please complete the following steps. If you have any questions along the way, please reach out to our Scoutmaster or New Member Coordinator.

  1. Fill out the youth application to register your scout with the BSA. Please print, complete, and sign the application, and email a scan back to our new member coordinator ASAP. Please don't send a photograph of the signed application, as the BSA will not accept it. We can also mail you a paper application if you prefer, just let us know.

Your scout can begin attending patrol and troop meetings after you send their application back to us, so please don't delay.

After we receive the youth application, we'll forward you information so you can register on the Troop 19 website. Registering will enable you to receive troop communications, register for events, and make payments.

  2. Fill out the adult application to register yourself as a volunteer. As they say, it takes a village to raise a child, and it certainly takes a village to run a scouting program! Your participation is greatly appreciated. As with the youth application, please print, complete, sign, and email a scan back to our new member coordinator.

Registering as an adult volunteer is a multistep process, but it helps ensure the safety of our scouts. After you complete the adult application step, we'll send you information on the next steps.
  3. After your child is registered, they will need a uniform. See here for Class A uniform informationThe troop's patrol leaders also have a few patches to give out, so ask them once your scout joins their patrol. Class B t-shirts are included in your registration fee and will be provided as well. Everything else can be purchased online or at a local scout shop---the website and local shop addresses are included in the attached.
  4. Lastly, you'll need to create an account on Scoutbook.com once your paperwork has been submitted. We use Scoutbook.com  to track your child's accomplishments and progress toward Eagle.

It may seem like a lot to get started, but it's worth it. Troop 19 is a very active, engaging, and fun troop with wonderful scouts and adult leaders! Our new member coordinator is here to help you along the way if you need assistance. Please reach out anytime with questions or for more info.

Welcome to Troop 19!
